Well, they had the plumbing inspection yesterday and it failed again.     This time, it was because the drain for the water softener is running into the drain line for the rest of the house. This is a problem because the high salt content from the water softener will upset the balance of the septic tank. Also, there is one pipe that needs to be replaced with a larger pipe, and the inspector would like us to rework the pipes for the basement bathroom. Unfortunately we can not continue with the next step until after this inspection has passed, and time it ticking by quickly. Of course it is much better to get it right now, then to discover the problems when they can not longer be easily fixed.
