Kaitlyn & the House

Kaitlyn was running on the play ground on Tuesday and tripped and went face first into the pavement.  She has a silver dollar sized bruise/scab on her cheek.  We are putting ointment on it to try to prevent a scar, but her poor little face is pretty sore.

We had a productive weekend, but so far it has been a very frustrating week for the house.  Over the weekend we vacuumed all of the new carpeting, almost all of the doors were hung, and door knobs installed.  My Mom, Dad, Brother, and Jasa came over and helped me clean up around the house and we took about 6 trash bags worth of trash out of the basement and organized what was left.  The house is actually looking very nice now.

Now for the frustrating part, on Saturday we meet with the Cabinet guy and told him how unhappy we were that he is over a month late with our cabinets, and he is still not done yet!  He promised us that they would be in on Tuesday but so far he has done nothing!  He called on Wednesday with some story about hurting his toe and having to go to the hospital.  I would usually believe him, and would patiently wait for him to get better, but he has given us so many excuses that it is hard to believe him anymore.  The one good thing is that he has finished putting in the vanities and we were able to have the vanity tops installed this week.  On Monday the Plumber will finish up all of his work and the electricians will be coming in to finish their work.  Wish me luck.

Oh no, the crazy cat lady symptoms are already evident. I'm in trouble. :)

Sure, you're the same age. That's what all the crazy cat-ladies say.

Thanks Donna. I will work on getting more photos. I need to get some of the kids on the 4-wheeler. They rode it for about 2 hours yesterday while Scott and I put up the mail box. They are becoming country kids. :)

Congratulations to the Ashwells on their new, beautiful home!!!

Did you move in on your anniversary?

We need more photos when it warms up.

I think y'all have epitomized the word fortitude, especially from Aug. to Feb.

Has your fireplace been hanging around the 'wrong sort' lately?

My friend's daughter (she's in Mrs Navo's class) is singing tonight too. She told me last night that today is her "special day." They are sooo cute at that age!

No, that is not my house. Mine is in the woods but there is no lake. It is near the strobe light on the channel 24 tower.
