Well we have been busy with the house. We know have passed our wiring, framing, and plumbing inspection. We have all of our doors installed so the house is now lockable, and most of the soy foam has been sprayed in. Scott and his family worked hard the last two weekends digging a ditch for the electrical conduit to sit in, and that is now finished. Soon we will have electricity and drywall!

The girls in the kitchen with Orlo, see the soy foam, it is wonderful stuff.
We have passed our electrical and framing inspection so they are going to start spraying the Soy foam insulation today! I am so glad. To prepare to the insulation Scott and I cleaned up the house last night, we had to get the majority of the wood shavings out of the walls. So since we have not electricity to run a Shop Vac with, Scott took his leaf blower and blew out all the walls. There was an amazing amount of dust flying around after he did that. I think I will be sneezing for a week.
Sometimes I can get pretty stressed because of my busy life style. Things get hectic because I am a working mother of two young girls that is trying to build a house, sell a house, and maintain a house. Then while talking to another mother last night at Erin’s Daisy meeting, she tells me the name of her son. I realize that she is the mother of an 8 year old boy that died last week from a two year battle with cancer and she is trying to give her daughter some normalcy by getting her involved with school activities. It is then that I realize I don’t really have any problems; I am living the good life.
Things are really moving fast on our new house. The Soy foam insulation is scheduled to be sprayed on Wednesday so all of the outer wall plumbing and wiring must be complete and inspected before then. Scott, his Uncle, Dad, and Brother-in-Law, installed all of the Phone, Internet, and Satellite wiring on Friday and Saturday, while his Mom and I cleaned up a lot of the Construction mess. Then on Sunday, Scott and his Best Friend Dave finished up all of Scott’s other jobs that needed to be completed before the house is sprayed. Today the alarm system wringing is being installed and the necessary electrical wiring is going in. We had our framing inspection today and we found out that we can not have our 3 roof access doors where we originally wanted them. Now I will have a roof access doors in my Breakfast Room, Bedroom, and Upstairs hallway, when I wanted them hidden in my Closet, the Kids Playroom, and the kid’s bathroom. Oh well, there is always something.
