This weekend was a busy one. Friday night Scott and Kaitlyn went to a Girl Scout Father Daughter dance. It was a disco theme and the two of them boogied the night away.
Saturday, my Mom and I took the girls to Build a Bear so they could use the gift certificates they received for there birthdays. They had a great time making there animals and picking out the accessories.
After lunch Kaitlyn and I delivered Girl Scout April Showers bags for the annual Girl Scout toiletry collection for the needy.
We then went out to the house site where we were glad to see that all of our footings were poured and are Arxx blocks have been delivered and are ready to be installed.
Sunday were attended Church and then helped clean the church grounds and wash windows as part of the Church work day.
We then meet our good friends Dave, Jen, and there new baby Andrew, and took the girls roller skating. The girls had a great time skating with Dave and I while Scott and Jen had fun watching the show and playing with the new baby.
After we left their Scott and the girls delivered our first trailer load of boxes to our storage space while I made dinner for the roller skating group.
All in all it was a very productive and fun weekend.

We went out to the house site today, in order to determine the location and type of retaining wall we will need in the back of the house. While we were there they poured the first truck load of concrete for our footings. They wanted to pour today so that if it rained the forms would not fill with water. Our basement walls will be delivered on Thursday and it should really start looking like a house soon. Hooray!
You may have noticed that it did not happen on the 12th as I said it would in my last post. I am learning that when you build a house you have to learn to accept and expect delays.
I just talked to the builder. They are framing for the footings today and they should be pouring concrete tomorrow.
Scott talked to the man from Ameren UE, they have permission to put electric poles on our neighbors land and they will be setting the stakes for the poles next week.

I just spoke to the builder. They are working on our driveway now, and will dig the basement next! They should be able to finish it in one day! I am so excited!! We are going to go out and look tonight. Hopefully we will have enough light to take some good pictures, so I can post them tonight.
