Sorry I have not posted any new pictures lately. I have been very busy trying to pack up anything I don’t need and put it into storage so we can put our current house up for sale. I am having a garage sale this weekend so I will be busy pricing for the rest of the week.
Anyway, the house is moving along. They are working on installing all of our plumbing that needs to be in before the basement floor is poured. The inspector found a few issues when he came out, so they have to redo some of the work so it is taking longer then expected. Meanwhile, they have poured the concrete for the retaining wall in the back and the footing for our deck. It is so much fun to see the work progressing along, although we only have 77 days until the girls first day of school. I hope we are in time, at this rate we might be living in a tent by then, he, he.
Here are some pictures:
They poured the concrete on Friday. Scott, the kids, and I went out to see it. It was running very smoothly, as one concrete truck left another came in. It took from 7:30 AM until about 1:30 PM to finish the job. Now we just need to let it dry so they can start building the rest of the house.
I took pictures, but I spent the entire weekend preparing our house to be sold, so I have not taken them off of the camera yet.

All of the Arxx blocks are in place and ready for the concrete to be poured. Now we are just waiting for a break in the rain so they can pour the concrete. They are hoping they will be able to do it tomorrow.
I went out there yesterday and it is pretty muddy. Luckily, we are on the top of a hill and it is very rocky soil so it should dry out fast. Hay; at least there are some good points to having yard full of rocks.
It looks like they are going to start running electric to the edge of our yard soon. I saw some work trucks and workers by the location of our first pole.
Scott and I both took the day off on Friday to help with our church Bar-B-Que. When we had a slow time at 2:00 we went out to see how things were going with our house. They are making good progress with our basement walls. Unfortunately there is a lot of rain in the forecast for the next two weeks so that will slow us down quite a bit.
This is the view from the back of the house:
This is the inside view of the arxx blocks. They will fill them with concrete when they are all put together.
Here are they guys putting the blocks together. Scott was able to put some on too.
