Look, I have more walls!! They have been working out there every day this week, so we are seeing a lot of progress. It is so cool to see this house come to life!

Well, last week was not a good week for St. Louis. We had terrible thunder storms in the midst of a heat wave, we were very luck though because we were not a part of the over ½ million people that lost power last week. Because of the Heat Wave though, the AC vents were not installed last week; I guess people living in houses with no Air Conditioning take priority when the temperature is over 100. 
They are telling us that they will be out tomorrow installing our duct work so that the rest of the work can continue. I sure hope so, seeing days go by with not progress in no fun.
They have been working away at our house now. We have decking on most of the first floor now and they are spraying soy foam insulation in a cantilevered section at the back of our house today. They are delivering another shipment of lumber this week so they can start building our first floor walls. As soon as our Heating and A/C vents are put in place in the laundry room and pantry, we will have the concrete floor poured in those rooms as well as in the garage.
Well after a week and a half of delays, they started working on our house again yesterday. It turns out that the builder was having some employee problems since his two best workers have just left to pursue other opportunities. He has now teamed up with another builder to finish our project. We are really hoping that things will really start moving now.
