We bought the Girls a used child size 4-wheeler on Friday, and they really love it. It rained all day on Saturday so they had to wait until Sunday to drive it. Scott had them driving in circles on our drive way on Sunday and yesterday Erin took it off road while Kaitlyn was at her Brownie meeting. I am glad the winter is coming to an end, because I am sure the girls will be outside ridding it a lot.
Well, we are actually living in our house now. Our friends and family helped us move in all of our big furniture and setup/unpack/arrange our bedrooms and bathrooms. They were a big help but we still have a mountain of boxes to unpack. Our big priority for the weekend is to purchase and install bathroom mirrors. We are finding it hard to get ready in the morning when the only mirror in the house is in the back of my curio cabinet. At least our girls are not teenagers yet. J
It is wonderful to finally be in the house after spending the last year building it. There is still a lot of work to do, but there is a very bright light at the end of the tunnel.
Congratulations to Scott (my brother) and Jasa. They were engaged on Valentines Day! We are thrilled to hear the good news.
It is official, it is a house!!! Scott and the girls are off today due to the weather, and the house inspector just came by and approved our occupancy permit. We could sleep there tonight if only I were not in
We had our occupancy inspection on Friday and we almost passed…close, but yet so far. The electrician’s need to make some more of the outlets into GFI outlets, and then we will be able to move in. We were able to move some things in this weekend, but the big move will be next weekend. I can’t wait!!!
Scott and I put up most of the closet hardware last weekend; we have everything in except for the shelves in the pantry. Our builder is supposed to be out at the house today finishing up some of the plumbing and installing the shutters on the front of the house. We will not be able to do the finish grading and the remaining stonework on the porch until it is warmer (everything is frozen), but that won’t keep us from getting an occupancy permit. Now if we could only get the cabinet guy to finish up...
