Making headway

I love living in my new house!  Things are hectic but at least all of the activity is happening in one location instead of two or three.  We are making headway with the pile of Boxes.  By the end of this weekend the main floor of my house should be box free, however the kid’s hallway and the basement is another story.  Ah well, you have to start somewhere don’t you.

Over the weekend my Sister and her kids were in town and my house was actually big enough to have them stay the night! The kids had fun playing together and Laura was nice enough to help me put more things away.  My Mom had a St. Pats party on Saturday, it was great to sit down and visit with my extended family for a while.  It is great to have time for more of a social life; so much of the last year has been centered on the house we have been too tired to do much else.

4-Wheeler

With the nice weather, the girls are able to ride the 4-Wheeler a lot more.  They are really getting good on it too.  Yesterday Scott setup an obstacle course for them to navigate, they loved going through it and it helps them to be more confident when they make turns.

Our Porch

We went shopping last Sunday after church, and we found out exactly how much our Van will hold.  Apparently, new Porch furniture, and a trip to Sam’s will fill it up to the top.  I am sure the site of us on the Lowes parking lot taking everything out of our Van, stuffing in a bunch of wicker furniture and then putting everything else in around it was quite comical, I know we were laughing.  Anyway, the front porch is really starting to shape up.  Just a few more days of stone work, and a good hose down and it will be done!

Moving Day pics

Here are some pictures from our Moving day.  I took these with my phone.

I was the first one at the house in the morning.  It had snowed that day so it looked like a winter wonderland.

Moving Day

Since it was our moving day and our 11 year Wedding anniversary, my Mom & Dad surprised us with a cake...Thanks Mom & Dad

Cake

We are working hard to get settled into the house.  I think it will be another month though before we have all of the boxes unpacked.

We are getting there, slowly but surely.

Oh no, the crazy cat lady symptoms are already evident. I'm in trouble. :)

Sure, you're the same age. That's what all the crazy cat-ladies say.

Thanks Donna. I will work on getting more photos. I need to get some of the kids on the 4-wheeler. They rode it for about 2 hours yesterday while Scott and I put up the mail box. They are becoming country kids. :)

Congratulations to the Ashwells on their new, beautiful home!!!

Did you move in on your anniversary?

We need more photos when it warms up.

I think y'all have epitomized the word fortitude, especially from Aug. to Feb.

Has your fireplace been hanging around the 'wrong sort' lately?

My friend's daughter (she's in Mrs Navo's class) is singing tonight too. She told me last night that today is her "special day." They are sooo cute at that age!

No, that is not my house. Mine is in the woods but there is no lake. It is near the strobe light on the channel 24 tower.
